Collaborations that Work.  HCOP created a nationally recognized collaborative model for working with low-income and minority communities to prevent childhood lead poisoning. We received funding from the Center for Disease Control and the San Francisco Health Department to document our success story for county health departments throughout California. We published this document as a guide called “Collaborations that Work.”  To read more information about “Collaborations that Work” or to order the guide, download the
Collaborations that Work order form.

Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program’s Publications.  The Department of Public Health’s Childhood Lead Prevention Program, aka the Children’s Environment Health Promotion program, has a number of free brochures on preventing lead poisoning.  Contact them at (415) 554-8930 for the brochures and several other fact sheets on preventing exposures to asthma triggers and managing asthma that you may find useful.
